About Me

 Peggy Choudhry wears many hats:  public servant, entrepreneur, private money broker, but the one she values most is mother & wife. Each role reflects the same defining trait: a commitment to building stronger futures for the people and communities she serves.

Her public service journey began with a remarkable political upset in 2016, when she ran for office for the very first time and defeated a two-term incumbent which reflected an early signal that her leadership would challenge the status quo. Since taking office as District 1 representative in Osceola County, Commissioner Choudhry has established herself as a results-driven changemaker focused on opportunity, access, and community voice. Her priorities have translated into tangible progress, including major transportation improvements, increased funding for essential services, expanded affordable housing initiatives, and the development of several new Fire and EMS stations serving District 1 as the district grows.

Her collaborative leadership has also produced innovative programs that address long-term community needs. She partnered with The Salvation Army to launch the county’s first Pathway to Housing program, providing structured support for residents seeking stability. She created the county’s first Student Committee to engage young people directly in civic life and policymaking. Working alongside the full Board of County Commissioners, she helped establish the Osceola Prosper Program.  An initiative that provides every graduating public high school senior in the county with access to two years of free higher education.

Beyond government service, Choudhry is a respected business leader who manages a thriving real estate portfolio and private money brokerage firm, and property management company. She is equally dedicated to mentorship, regularly investing time in educating youth, encouraging civic engagement, and helping the next generation understand both the power and responsibility of local leadership.
